At Project Robot, we encourage all our students to be active creators, not passive technology users. We are big on creativity and we encourage curiosity!

With our small mixed‑age classes that support peer learning and ability‑based personalised programs for each student, we encourage them to take ownership for their learning. We aim to nurture all our students to be confident, independent thinkers.

Term enrolment starts now

Our weekly after school + weekend classes are designed to educate and inspire future inventors. Our students get to build their own robotics projects from the ground up in every lesson, and we also guide them through key engineering concepts so they can expand both their theory and practical skills.

Our robotics curriculum caters to each individual student’s learning path

Students at the foundation and beginner levels will concentrate on perfecting the ‘mecha’ or construction part of the program. They will also be learning programming concepts by using our MRT robotics swipe card system that focuses on developing programming logics. Students at the intermediate levels will be learning to use graphic based programming software to program their own creations. Students at the advanced levels will learn to manipulate their own programs by coding.

Creating independent thinkers

Our program aims to develop our student’s cognitive and fine motor skills, as well as essential life skills such as analytic and problem solving strategies. We are also big on developing our student’s leadership, team work and communication skills. Our school term program incorporates team and individual challenges and provides opportunities for our students to present their ‘Big Ideas’ for their projects.

Future proof your kids

Did you know that 40% of the jobs that exist in Australia today will disappear within the next 15 years? Did you also know that 44% of the jobs will be automated in the next 10 years? Over 50% of future jobs will require digital skills, yet our kids are not learning these essential skills in our traditional education systems. You can prepare your kids for the digital revolution by providing them with robotics and technology training now.

Inclusive classroom for all students

At Project Robot we aim to create an inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities, and for students with special needs. We are currently working closely with a speech pathologist to revise our curriculum so that we can better attune our class material to do just that.

IYRC (International Youth Robot Competition)

IYRC is an annual robotics competition where students from MRT robotics centres all over the world come together and go head to head in various events. We were part of the Australian MRT robotics team this year, and had travelled to Malaysia in August to compete in games such as Rescue Robot coding mission. 400 students from 19 countries participated in the 2017 event, and rumour has it that Sydney could be selected to host the 2018 game.
